Linda Passman

    For me art is transformative.  I try to fuse my own impulse with my subject’s energy and capture that  quality in my work.

         In my studio I distill sketches and notes into painted images.

I begin my work by drawing something that interests me.   I look closely, think, then I start by making some  realistic sketches. Gradually I move away from details and particular features searching for the essence of form, mood and movement. I don’t know exactly where I am going until I get there.

            My process unites the physical world with the spiritual. I hope the result creates a dialogue with people who can share my personal journey.
