Linda Passman
For me art is transformative.  I try to fuse my own impulse with my subject’s energy and capture that  quality in my work.
In my studio I distill sketches and notes into painted images.

My choice of subjects vary but I am primarily concerned with catching the expressive quality of  of the moment   I sketch when I am doing things I like to do. Traveling , sitting in the theatre, walking along a street,  sitting in a playground or  looking at a model inspire me to draw.

I am concerned with the sweep of a landscape or gesture of a figure: the energy, the  line and the color.  My emotions find expression through drawing and paint.

My process unites the physical world with the spiritual. I hope the result creates a dialogue with people who can share my personal journey.
